Hanson which consitsts of brothers Isaac, Taylor and Zac Hanson was one of the most successful grounps in the 1997 with their number one hit MMBOP. I even agree I used to love Hanson when I was a teenager, and even saw them at several concerts,  and met them in Oklahoma City in 1999. Who could forget those long haired brothers who grew up in Tulsa Oklahoma, and first started singing at their church. They even had a full song list of church songs that I got on ebay. Their first album was not Middle of Nowhere like most people think it was, but it was really called Boomerang and then called another album called MMMBOP. Issac was born on November 17, 1980 Taylor March 14, 1983 and Zac October 22, 1985.  Then tweens and teens everywhere were swaying to the songs MMMBOP and fell in love with the brothers. Isaac, aged 16 at the time of their debut, played guitar; 13-year-old Taylor sang lead and played keyboards; drummer Zac was 11 years old. Later the holidays came and they released a Christmas album called Snowed In along with a video that talked about their life and showed music videos called Live from Tokeyo. I remember watching this video all the time. Around this time Hanson was all over the internet and they even had a fan club called MOE. Which meant the Middle of Everything. When you signed up you would get  a magazine with tons of information about the band and they would also sometimes right their articles and have their drawings. It was a pretty cool magazine. I still have all 12 of my issues. Will probably sale them on ebay one day.

They were all over the teen magazines such a Bop, Teen Beat, Tiger Beat, Superteen, Superstars, Big Bopper just to name a few. Did you know some of those teen magazines are still avaible today like Tiger Beat and Bop now with Zac Efron and Justin Bieber the huge stars of today. It seems like their is always a new star that hits it big every 3 to 4 years. In. The streak of album releases continued in 1998, when the brothers reissued their earlier independent recordings as Three Car Garage, and also released a concert album, Live from Albertane. One of my favorite Hanson songs was” I will come to you”. Soon bands just started popping up such as Nsync, The Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, 98 Degrees, and Christina Aguilera. Hanson’s third album released in 2000 called This Time Around which did not make it as big as their first album was some what of a dissapointment. I was not much into this album either back then. I stopped following the boys after This Time Around and really started following the Backstreet Boys whom I still am into to this day.

Now they have released up to 8 LP’s to this day called The Best of Hanson Live and Electri in 2005. Throughout the course of their 2005 tour, Hanson stopped at various colleges throughout the States to showcase and discuss Strong Enough to Break, a documentary about their time with Island Def Jam .The Walk LP came next. During the accompanying tour, the brothers began taking mile-long barefoot walks before every show, encouraging their fans to do the same. The experience was meant to imitate the walks taken by African schoolchildren each day, and every mile walked resulted in more charitable donations for Africa Their 8th album called Shout it out. It’s really cool to be born in the same state as Hanson. When they were super popular people would go to their house in Tulsa and take pictures of it. I never went and never would to this day. I’m very proud of what they are doing. Now all the guys are married and have children, a long time coming when they broke out in 1997. They are still around today working on another cd.  Even though I do not follow them anymore it was always a dream to meet them. I wish them all the sucess in the world.

Andy Gibb was born on March 5, 1958, in Manchester, England, UK.  Andy grew up with three older brothers know as the popluar group the The Bee Gee’s. The Bee Gee’s sang on backup to most of Andy Gibb’s songs and Andy started singing at the age of 13. Andy Gibb was on the fast track way to fast and got involoved with women, sex, and drugs and even depression. Andy Gibb dated Victoria Principal, Marie Osmond, Susua George, and Olivia Newton John. Andy Gibb married girlfriend Kim Reeder and had one daugher Peta Jaye born on January 25, 2978 later then next year they divorced.

  He said he wanted to change but it seemed Hollywood was taking over. On his 30th birthday he promised the people most dear to him: He was a changed man. Sadly Andy’s heart and Andy’s body were two very different things, and five days after his 30th birthday his body finally succumbed to the seemingly endless years of alcohol abuse. Andy died on March 10, 1988.

There is a song sung by his brothers, on the One Night Only album and DVD, dedicated to him. They sung it with some video footage of him on a screen at the back of the stage. Barry introduced it as a ‘Song for Andy’.

He had three US number one hits by the time he was 21-years-old back-to-back. They were, “I Just Want To Be Your Everything,” “(Love Is) Thicker Than Water,” and “Shadow Dancing,” which was number one for seven weeks in the summer of 1978.

Diane Lane was born on January 22, 1965, in New York. Diane Lane started her acting career at age 6 on stage. She was 13 when she was cast by director George Roy Hill in his wonderful 1979 film A Little Romance (1979), opposite Sir Laurence Olivier. After this film she got in all the magazines such as Teen Beat, Tiger Beat, Star, Teen bag. Her career started to calm down when she was Touched by a Angel, National Lampoon’s movie maddness. and Six Pact in 1982. IN 1983 she began to hit it big in the movies, Rumble fish (1983), The Outsiders (1983). It might be weird to know that she turned down the movie Splash in 1984. She was also in th emovie Back to the Furture with Michael J. Fox.

The process of rebuilding her career was a slow and gradual one. First came the  very sexy straight-to-video thriller Lady Beware(1987), followed by the critically acclaimed but little seen The Big Town (1987) with which starred Matt Dillon.  She got a Emmy nonimation for the movie Whore with a heart. Film producers were interested in her again. Another well-received TV production, Desending  Angel (1990) (TV), was followed by smaller roles in major films like Richard Attenborough‘s Chaplin (1992) and Mike Binder’s Indian Summer (1993), and larger parts in small independent films like My New Gun (1992), Vital Signs (1990) and Knight Moves (1992). Her husband is named Christopher Lambert and she has a daughter named Eleanor.

Now she was getting more reconized and was about to be in higher profile roles in the movie Wild Bill in 1995., the Robin Williams movie Jack. In 2001 she co-starred in the movie “Hard Ball” with Keanu Reeves.

Erik von Detten was born on 3 October 1982, San Diego, California. He was all over the Teen magazines like Tiger Beat, Teen Beat, Super teen, Bop and popstar magazine. He played Chris Savage on the ABC comedy Complete Savages.

Jonathan Knight was born on November 29, 1986  in Massachusetts. He was  the son of Marlene and Allan Knight. He grew up in the Dorchester area of Boston with his 5 brothers and sisters and numerous foster children his mother took in. One of Jonathan’s brothers is also in the group Jordan Knight.  Jonathan struck fame as the first boy band in the late 1980”s called THE NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK. The New Kids were really popular in the late 1980′s and 1990′s. The sold out concert and broke in a number of number one hits. The group took time off before their last album “Face The Music” was released, and during the tour for that album, Knight decided to call it quits. Suffering from an anxiety and panic disorder, he no longer felt that he could continue performing. He know is back on tour with Donnie Walberg, Jordan Knight, Danny Wood and Joey Mcintyre. They have perfmored on the today show. They also did a New kids on th eblock cruise that sold out. Now they are having another cruise this summer. Now The Bckstreet Boys are doing a cruise one of my all time Favorite groups. It’s already sold out. Seems like a lot of groups are doing cruises for their fans. Even thought I wasn’t a really big fan of the New kids they still have it going on and I’m proud od them for continuing their music.

Jonathan Knight Trivia

Jonathan quit New Kids on the Block in 1994 after he suffered an emotional breakdown.

His parents, Allan and Marlene are divorced.

Worked at Burger King and a pizza shop prior to joining New Kids on the Block.

First singing  job was as a choirboy.

His father, Allan, is an Episcopal priest.

After passing his driving test he was in a serious car accident and was quite badly injured; he still gets back pains as a result.

Alyssa Milano was born on December 19, 1972. She is the daughter of Italian-American parents Lin, a fashion designer, and Tom, a film music editor. She lived in Brooklyn New York in a small neighborhood. Her first role was in the musical ‘Annie’ on Broadway, she was 8 years old then  at the age of 10 Alyssa Milano had her first tv show on Who’s the Boss as Tony Danza’s saccharine sweet daughter. The show was on from 1984-1992. Some of the major cast are Tony Danza,  Judith Light, Alyssa Milano, Danny Pintauro, Katherine Helmond and also Nicole Eggert was on 7 episodes. 

In 1988 Alyssa Milano did a workout video called Teen Stream. It might be hard for you to believe but Alyssa Milano was on the tv show called Melrose place from which aried from 1992 through 1999. She played Jennifer Mancini from 1997- 1998. The show was created by Aaron Spelling the person behind Beverly Hills 90210. It centers about a bunch of young adults n their 20′s who live in the same apartment block in the West Hollywood district of Los Angeles. Things get out of hand, relationships get hurt and strong. Everyone had their own dreams. I never got into this show. With me being way to young when aired. Some of the castmates are Heather Locklear,  Andrew Shue, Josie Bissett, Doug Savant, Courtney-Thorne-Smith, Grant Show, Jack Wagner, Laura Leighton, Rob Estes, David Charvet from Baywatch too, and Kelly Rutherford now on the CW tv show Gossip Girl. It is amazing how many then young actors are now on much bigger tv shows.

 One of her biggest tv shows which most people probably remember her by is Charmed. This show is about  three Halliwell sisters who discover that they are descendents of a line of female witches. The each have a  special ability such as stopping time, moving objects, seeing the future. They also can combine the 3 powers to fight the demons that attack them. The show ran from 1998- 2006. Some of the cast mates are Brian Krause, Shannen Doherty, Holly Marie Combs, Rose Mcgowan. Some guest Stars were Kerr Smith from Dawson’s Creek, Balthazar Getty from Brothers and Sisters, and Nick Lachey from 98 Degrees. I watched this show some but I have to admit it’s not one of my favorites. She is such a talented actress through. Mostly Alyssa Milano has done tv shows. She now will be starring in a movie called, “My girlfriends boyfriend”, comming out in 2010. I’m so excited for this movie. I love romatic comedies.
