Countdown To Intelligent News
It’s an eclectic mix of Edward R. Murrow and Sesame Street. It’s fast paced with lots of variety. Anyone should be able to follow along. But it’s loaded with real, focused, interviews and commentary. It reflects solid research, precision delivery, and not just bluster and brash. It may take a little getting used to but it’s certainly one of the best commentaries on current events to be found on television.
Sure, Keith Olberman has an obvious bias towards the Liberal side of the political spectrum but he doesn’t spout party talking points or the out-and-out lies regurgitated on so many of the other news outlets. He calls ‘em as he sees ‘em and his sight is pretty much 20:20. If Keith says it, it is most likely true.
Keith’s show, Countdown, on MSNBC must have a first class staff. The research is excellent and quite often surprising. Keith’s people search out the obscure, the unusual, and the unexpected. And Keith delivers the goods like no one else can.
Wikipedia says briefly of him, “Keith Olbermann (born January 27, 1959) is an American news anchor, political commentator, and sportscaster. He hosts Countdown with Keith Olbermann, an hour-long nightly news and commentary program on MSNBC. Starting with the 2007 NFL season, Olbermann also has served as co-host of NBC’s Football Night in America with Bob Costas.” and then goes on to outline his life and career in more detail.
Rolling Stone calls Keith “The Most Honest Man In News”. If you haven’t yet heard Keith, try this on for size:
